The Tlalli (Nature) app turns your land into an interactive atlas: specimen cards for the places, plants, animals, and minerals that matter, accessible trails with GPS navigation, and a map that works reliably with no internet at all. You can build all three from the Nature section of PAC Manager.

Add a specimen card

  1. Choose Nature in the left column. Under New bundle, tap the kind of card you want: Location, Plant, Animal, or Mineral.
  2. Type a name in the Title box and press Create.
  3. Click the empty picture frame to add a card cover image, then fill in title and description. You can also add a larger Cover photo for the app just below.
  4. Under Atlas placement, enter the coordinates (lat, lng): for example, 19.4326, -99.1332. If the numbers don't look right, the field turns red and tells you the expected range. For this step, you can also use the provided map picker to assign an approximate position via a coordinate pin. Fill in region and habitat.
  5. In traditional_uses, type a use and press Enter to add it as a chip. Tap the small × on a chip to remove it.
  6. Under Sections, press Section to add a passage with its own heading and body. Hover over a section to move it up or down or remove it.
  7. Under Gallery, press Add image for each extra photo.
  8. Press Save + Compile at the top when you're done.

Attach a field recording

  1. Under Field recordings, press Recording.
  2. Give it a title, then press Recording audio and choose your sound file. PAC Manager copies it into the card and prepares it for the device. Your original file is never touched. A play button appears so you can listen back right in the Manager.
  3. Set recorded_at with the date picker, and add recorded_location and recorded_place if you know where it was captured.

Create a trail

  1. Under New bundle, tap Trail, type a Title, and press Create.
  2. Fill in name, region, and description. Choose a difficulty (easy, moderate, or hard) and enter est_duration_min (minutes) and elevation_gain_m.
  3. Next to the Route heading, press Import GPX / GeoJSON and pick the route file from your GPS app or mapping tool. The heading updates to show how many points came in and the trail's length in meters.
  4. Under Waypoints, press Waypoint for each stop along the way. Give it a name, its lat and lng, and a short snippet walkers will read there.
  5. Under Linked specimen card, tap the pill with a specimen's name to tie that stop to its card, or none to leave it unlinked.
  6. Press Save + Compile.

Load the offline map region

Open Offline map region in the Tlalli bundle list. This is the map devices use with no internet.

  1. Fill in name, version, and attribution (required). The import button stays gray until name and attribution are filled in.
  2. Press Import region.pmtiles and choose your region file. PAC Manager measures its boundaries, zoom levels, and size straight from the file and shows them under Current region.
  3. To swap in a newer map later, change the version first, then press Replace region.pmtiles. A new version is what tells devices to copy the fresh map.

Any problems, like a waypoint pointing at a missing card, appear in the panel at the bottom of the editor after you save, with plain descriptions of what to fix.

What the device shows

Each specimen appears on the People atlas at its coordinates, with its cover photo, sections, gallery, and recordings. Each recording plays with its waveform and recorded date. Trails show their difficulty and length, and walking near a waypoint brings up its snippet and linked specimen card. The map draws from your imported region, fully offline.
