Pixli is the health and safety app on your People's devices. Each card you write in PAC Manager becomes one place people can turn to: a clinic, a food pantry, or the responder who answers the big emergency button. This article walks through the fields under the Community health resource heading in the card editor.

Add card details and imagery

  1. Near the top of the editor, click the Hero image button.
  2. In the window that opens (Choose hero image), pick a photo from your computer. Photos ending in .png, .jpg, .jpeg, or .webp all work.
  3. PAC Manager copies the photo into the project resources. The image will appear in the UI and at a large size on the Pixli resource listing.

Add the phone number and address

  1. Enter the number into the Phone field. The 10-digit number sorts itself into the familiar (555) 123-4567 shape automatically.
  2. Type the street address into the Address field. Accuracy matters: when the address is tapped in Pixli, the user will receive instant directions within their preferred map application.

Set the opening hours

The Hours section shows one row per day, Mon through Sun. Days start out marked Closed.

  1. Tap a day's name to turn that day on. Two time menus appear beside it.
  2. Use the first menu to pick when the place opens, and the second to pick when it closes. Times come in half-hour steps.
  3. Tap the next day's name to turn it on too. Each new day starts with the same hours as the last one you set; set Monday once, then tap the rest of the week on.
  4. Tap a day's name again to close it.

Underneath the rows, a small sentence shows exactly what the card will say, for example Mon-Fri 7am-7pm, Sat 9am-1pm. Days with matching hours fold together, and a full week of the same hours reads Every day. If no days are on, you'll see No days set: the card shows no hours.

Already wrote the hours in your own words, like "Call ahead in winter"? PAC Manager keeps them exactly as written and shows a plain text box instead of the day rows, with the note Shown on the device exactly as written. If you'd rather use the rows, click Start over with day rows. That clears the text so you can build the week fresh.

Pick a category

  1. Under Category, tap one of the ready-made pills: Clinic, Hospital, Pharmacy, Counseling, Food, Shelter, Elder care, or Youth. Tap it again to un-pick it.
  2. If none of them fit, use the box below the pills (Or type your own) and write the custom label.

Choose its order in the list

Place in the list decides where the card is placed when people access Pixli. Tap one pill: First, Near the top, Normal, or Last.

For responder cards: the hint under the pills reminds you that the responder placed First answers the big emergency button. Ensure exactly one responder (the one your People should reach first) is set to First.

Mark as an emergency resource

  1. Find the Emergency resource switch at the bottom of the section.
  2. Turn it on for places people need in a crisis; leave it off for everyday resources like elder care or youth programs.

What the device shows

On the device, Pixli shows your hero image, the formatted phone number, the address, and the assigned hours. Once published, all information is final; what you see in the little preview is what your People read. Cards appear in the order you chose under Place in the list, and the responder you placed First is the one the big emergency button calls on.
